About Exchanges

Exchanges is a blog about the markets, products and services of NYSE Euronext, the world's largest exchange group. Our goal is to share information and insights, and to have you share yours. The name of the blog signals not only that it's about marketplaces but also that we want to have an open, multi-way exchange of ideas.

All of the bloggers on Exchanges are employed by NYSE Euronext (unless otherwise noted). That doesn't necessarily mean that we're speaking for the company in everything we write, particularly when we're expressing opinions. So if we say that the Beatles were the greatest band of all time, that isn't necessarily the official view of NYSE Euronext. Even though the Beatles were indeed the best band ever. (See? That's exactly what we're talking about!)

We strive for accuracy and timeliness. When we make mistakes, we correct them in a prompt and prominent manner.

Exchanges welcomes questions and comments. We may edit comments for length, foul language, grammar, personal attacks or other reasons. We allow anonymous or pseudonymous comments, although we prefer signed comments, which we believe carry more weight in the online conversation. We also do our best to answer questions and respond to comments, within the constraints of the fact that blogging is not a full-time gig for any of us.

We link to blogs, news articles and Web sites that we think will be of interest to you. We do not vouch for their accuracy, endorse their viewpoints, or endorse the blogs, articles and sites to which they link.

Exchanges is a successor to our HybridTalk blog. You can find much of the HybridTalk content (if you're having trouble sleeping or need an extra fix of trivia) via the search, categories and archives features.
